Warren Pear (Pyrus communes ‘Warren’) is a tree that produces fruit that has been praised by both Martha Stewart and Oprah Winfrey. The Warren pear tree’s fruit is soft, sweet, and not gritty like some other pears. The pear has a faded green appearance and often blushes a dusty reddish shade when exposed to full sunlight. The Warren pear tree was named after Thomas O. Warren, who in 1976 discovered the tree in Mississippi.
