Starlings are an invasive species in the United States. They are very common and widespread, though their populations are declining.

Habitat

Starlings are highly adaptable and can live in a wide variety of habitats. They typically inhabit areas near people, such as towns, cities, backyards, and parks. Starlings prefer areas near open fields and near cavities or niches for them to nest in.
