Brodie Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana ‘Brodie’) is a hardy, fast-growing tree in the Juniper family. The Brodie Eastern Red Cedar is evergreen, retaining its rich, velvety green color all year long. However, in particularly cold climates, this tree can transition to a red shade in the winter. These red cedars can tolerate difficult temperatures, both hot and cold, and are ideal plants since they are able to thrive in almost all soil types. Brodie Eastern Red Cedars are native to eastern North America. The Brodie Eastern Red Cedar produces small, frosty blue berries that are beloved by birds and other wildlife.
