Conservation Status
Orchard Oriole populations have been declining in recent years. This decline is due to heavy cowbird parasitism and habitat loss.
Habitat
Orchard Orioles can be found in woodland habitat along river edges, marsh edges, lakeshores, open shrublands, and farms. They prefer semi-open habitat with deciduous trees, and usually avoid long stretches of unbroken forest.
