Conservation Status

Despite being very common, the Blue Jay population is declining. Some reasons for this decline include habitat loss and attacks from cats. Cats in just the United States alone are responsible for killing approximately 2.4 billion birds each year.

Habitat

Blue Jays are commonly found in forests or by forest edges. They can also be seen in parks, backyards, and at birdfeeders.
