Conservation Status
Chipping sparrows are very common and are of low conservation concern. However, their numbers are slightly declining.
Habitat
Chipping sparrows can be found in forests with sufficient shrubbery and undergrowth, as well as in grasslands, parks, and backyards. They tend to stay near the forest edge and can often be seen foraging on the ground.
