At Old Town, we are always looking for innovative approaches to farm, and one of our favorites is using goats to keep our pastures in top shape. Our herd of goats, affectionally known as “The Chew Crew”, live alongside our horses eating the weeds and leaving the grass for other livestock. Goats are unique animals in that they are willing to eat weeds and underbrush rather than grass, making them ideal companions for other farm livestock. In addition to being an integral part of Old Town’s vegetation management, goats are always the life of any party!
